Job Listing: Software Engineer

Our Client in the Telecommunications arena is looking for a Software Engineer for a long term contract opportunity in the East Bay .

Job Description:

Under the guidance of a senior developer, and subject matter expert, this resource will develop software that collects, logs, displays, and alerts on data pulled from Our Clients handsets, RF scanners, and other sources and databases to provide wireless infrastructure analysis, benchmarking, and optimization for Our Client’s 2G, 2.5G, 3G voice/data network deployments in real-time.
A mixture of software development languages will be used, such as C/C++, java, xml, depending on what is most appropriate for the task. Real-time data retrieval methods, serial and USB data collection is required. Proficient use of Subversion, Visual Studios and other Windows development IDE tools is expected. Some Linux device driver development in C/C++ is also required.
Must be a teamplayer; must have willingness to share and accept comments from colleagues.

Technical Environment: Java, C++, Unix/Linux

Skills/Requirements:

-3+ years experience in C/C++ and java development
