Hitachi SAN Engineer



Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company in Research Triangle Park, is looking for a HDS SAN Engineer to assist with an upgrade of their Hitachi Data System (HDS). The right candidate would have 4+ years experience working with SAN technology. Experience in a “boot from SAN” environment is preferred. Candidate must have extensive experience with problem resolution, root cause analysis, etc. ITIL certification is a plus. Working knowledge of scripting storage operation commands, specifically Hitachi Data Systems is a must.

Specific Technologies:
Hardware: HP P-Class and C-class blades, Brocade and McData Fiber Channel switches, Hitachi Storage Arrays.

Applications: HP Systems Insight Manager, HP Rapid Deployment Pack (Altiris Deployment Server), Hitachi HiCommand Device Manager, Shadow Image, Snapshot on Write, Arcserve. OS Environment: Windows Server 2003. Windows Terminal Services, Citrix Metaframe and thin client terminals.

This would be a 3 month assignment with a possibility of an extension

  • CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH PROBLEM RESOLUTION AND ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
