Job Requirements:
-B. S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering or science field such as biology, chemistry, or environmental science.
-5-7 years related experience in the drinking water industry.
-In-depth knowledge of water regulation for state and county regulations.
-Working knowledge of water chemistry and treatment is required;
similar experience in laboratory testing.
-understanding of computer applications is essential.
Job Duties:
-Responsible for establishing programs in the Division that monitor, verify and strengthen compliance with regulations.
-Requires the oversight and coordination of all compliance programs, working with corporate, legal, financial, and project control functions as well as individual project teams to accelerate and improve the effectiveness of our compliance activities.
-Verifies that appropriate investigations are completed and that remedial programs, where necessary, are developed and implemented.
-Position monitors the regulatory environment, assist in the maintenance of United Water environmental programs and maintains Division central database, electronic federal and state register, and electronic industry news bulletins.
-Maintains an active knowledge of federal/state drinking water products pertinent to drinking water quality and treatment.
