· Assist Director in providing guidance and expert advice on implementation of new accounting standards.
· Coordinate and provide subject matter expertise on technical accounting issues/projects as assigned.
· Assist in training on new standards and technical accounting updates.
· Key member of the Company's Accounting Policy and Advisory Committee – formulate and draft new accounting policies, best practice guides or frameworks.
· Develop research papers on technical accounting matters.
· Assist Director in monitoring regulatory accounting environment for key developments impacting the Company with timely updates to Controller/CAO and Controller’s organization.
· Maintain publication of regulatory accounting watch list.
· Key contact on technical accounting issues.
· Assist on due diligence projects.
· Special projects.
Requirements
· Minimum of 7-10 years public or private accounting experience.
· Strong technical, research and analytical skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Aptitude to understand complex technical accounting standards.
· Ability and desire to research technical accounting issues.
· Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with business groups.
· Highly motivated with passion to contribute.
Work Experience/Skills PREFERRED
· Practical experience applying GAAP to complex business transactions.
· Industry experience in a multinational organization.
Education REQUIRED
· Bachelors degree in accounting
Education PREFERRED
· CPA
· Masters in accounting
