About the Position:

This Position is under the supervision of the: Company Commander.



Description of the position and working environment: the position provides typical administrative services to Army Reserve soldiers in a typical office setting. Customer service and communication skills are required.



Salary includes 13.51% local market supplement (LMS).

Major Duties

Plans, coordinates, and develops procedures for executing the Command's program and budget system. Ensures a balance of Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA), Operations and Maintenance, Army Reserve (OMAR), and Reserve Personnel, Army (RPA) appropriations are integrated into the Command Budget Estimate (CBE).
Analyzes Command and subordinate budget submissions, conducts independent budget analysis, and advises commanders. Prepares a variety of statistical and narrative reports. Performs resource management functions associated with planning, administration, control and analysis of resource requirements for the wide range of Command elements. Exercises daily fund control and resource management through accounting, budgeting and management-financial reporting programs.
Assures that anti-deficiency act violations which involve over-obligation of funds do not result. Provides technical and/or administrative guidance to the Command staff in carrying out the budgetary function

General Schedule SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Best qualified candidates for this job must show in their resume that they have training or experience in the following areas ? analytical, technical, and administrative duties in one or more phases of budgetary process, such as guidance, budget formulation and justification, presentation and enactment, execution or the development of budgetary guidance. Responsibility for a segment of an organization?s budget, programs, and/or organizational structure.




EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (if related to the position) or a combination of education and experience.




Recruitment Bonus Recruitment incentive paid. Must be new hire to Federal Government or have 90 day break in service from Federal Government. Must incur one year obligation within Department of Defense. Must start on or before 30SEP08.

$1500.00 Recruitment bonus.
