This position is assigned to the Office of Housing, Office of Insured Health Care Facilities, Headquarters.  Housing’s mission is to provide vital services to the American public through its nationally administered programs.  It manages the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the largest mortgage insurance company in the world, which is government-owned and is responsible for increasing the ability of low and moderate-income individuals who are underserved by the conventional mortgage market to secure affordable housing.  Housing also oversees key legislation in regulating the housing industry.

Major Duties

As an Account Executive on a Customer Service Team, you will be responsible for monitoring and insurance underwriting for an assigned portfolio of applicant, insured and health care institutions.  Specifically you will:
 
·         Be responsible for monitoring and insurance underwriting for a portion of FHA's $6 billion hospital mortgage portfolio or its $9.5 billion portfolio of skilled nursing facilities
 
·         Work with an energetic and highly motivated team of professionals in performing duties that include: processing applications for mortgage insurance.
 
·         Negotiate with applicants to arrive at terms acceptable to FHA.
 
·         Monitor the activities of client health care facilities.
 
·         Assess financial performance and compliance with mortgage covenants and regulatory agreements.
 
·         Assess risks of potential mortgage defaults.
 
·         Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team to respond to difficult cases or situations.
