Required Skills

Education/Experience:
• BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or other related degree
• 3+ years direct experience in design, development, test and implementation of automated and manual test cases
• 3+ years of requirements and use case review experience for functional / integration testing
• Experience in Comcast Digital Voice (CDV) & High Speed Data (HSD) provisioning testing (1-2 years) desired.
• Working knowledge of CSG & DST billing systems.
• Experience using Toad and Jxplorer.
• Operating Systems – LINUX, UNIX, WINDOWS XP/200 and SUN Solaris
• Protocol – VOIP, TCP/IP, DSLAM, LAN/WAN, SIP, DHCP, DNS, ISDN, DOCSIS
• Soft Switches – Cedar Point SafariView, Cisco BTS
• Voicemail – OpenWave
• Has depth and breadth of experience in own discipline; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities, as well as areas of expertise.
• Acts as a key individual contributor in identified functional areas.
• Leads projects as assigned.
• Applies expertise to solve problems within assigned areas.
• Anticipates and interprets customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies solutions.
• Interprets internal/external business issues and recommends best practices in own discipline.
• Understands Key business drivers and applies the knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services in own functional area.
• Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
• Manages own time to meet agreed targets; forecast and plan resource requirements in functional area.
• Explains difficult concepts and influences others to adopt point of view
• Works within budgetary objectives set by manager
• Experience with legacy mainframe billing systems (CSG, Amdocs, DDP) preferred
• Clear understanding of major SDLC approaches and their implications on testing
• Knowledge and experience in a SOA / Web services environment preferred
• Experience in project planning, project management and critical path scheduling
• Expertise in programming and scripting languages (VBA, TSL, JScript, JavaScript) strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of Internet protocols preferred
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
• 3-5 years experience using Microsoft Office suite of products (Visio, Word, Project, Power Point, and Excel; experience with VBA automation of Excel strongly preferred
• 3-5 years experience using HP testing products desired, including Quality Center, Quick Test Pro (QTP), Service Test, Load Runner, and Performance Center
• 3-5 years experience in the cable and/or phone industry field preferred
• 3-5 years experience with formal testing methodologies and system/software failure analysis
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement
