Job Listing: Financial Analyst

• Analyze & develop reports to assist in the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process
• Perform month-end close, including variance analysis and supporting schedules
• Identify, research & recommend process improvements to ensure internal controls and processes support the achievement of operational and financial goals
• Provide and report variance and trend analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods through creating and updating detailed spreadsheets
• Support the preparation of the monthly forecast and annual budget. Coordinate with department owners to collect and analyze data. Manage detailed financial spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
• Complete various detailed analysis, including headcount, spending, cost/benefit, etc. as requested
• Identify, develop and maintain internal control documentation and processes
• Organize and update information and assist in preparation of financial presentations, including budget books, month-end binders, forecast binders, internal control binders, etc.
• Participate, organize and document monthly audits, including warehouse cycle and physical counts
• Cross train in other department, such as Accounts Payable and Cash Control to provide support when necessary
• Assist Technical Operations with the formation/modification of CommTech quality and productivity queries
• Analyze and identify cost savings and operational alternatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Required Skills

Education and Experience:

BS degree in accounting and/or finance or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 3 years accounting/finance background and knowledge of advanced accounting theory and practice.

Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.

Ability to plan, prioritize and work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Intermediate to advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint – SQL helpful.

Experience in forecasting and financial modeling of operating trends.

2+ years cable industry experience a strong plus.
