Job Listing: Change Management Analyst
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for developing & communicating change management policies and procedures for Comcast’s wide-area network and business-critical systems. This individual will be required to work closely with Network Engineers & CET personnel, as well as with change agents in the markets, to bring resolution to complex business-impacting problems with the data network and/or firewall.
Job Functions:
• Responsible for developing & communicating change management policies and procedures for Comcast’s wide-area network and business-critical systems.
• Oversee implementation of change control tools & applications. Ensure that tools are being utilized effectively by change administrators, change agents, and support center personnel.
• Responsible for overseeing the daily processing of change requests, ensuring policy compliance by change agents and that necessary approvals are obtained before change events occur.
• Ensure appropriate level of communication takes place prior to business-critical changes that result in production downtime.
• Identify and document “down stream” dependencies for enterprise data networks and business-critical systems. Ensure that those dependencies are considered by change agents prior to implementation of a change.
• Ensure change events do not conflict with existing maintenance schedules, thereby avoiding excessive downtime or high risk situations that could result in loss of revenue or personnel safety issues.
• Responsible for documentation of all policies & procedures involving Change Management. Provide this documentation to all relevant personnel.
• Foster productive working relationships with market IT personnel and business leaders.
• Oversee end-user support for users of the change control tools (Remedy, Web-Site, etc.) and communication systems (Matrix).
• Performs other duties as directed by Management.

Required Skills
Qualifications:
Process Engineering & Project Management experience preferred
Advanced certifications and/or training in Networking essentials and enterprise level applications & server administration
Proven trouble-shooting skills in WAN environments
Ability to write technical procedure documentation & provide training
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Ability to build relationships and interact at all levels is essential
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Self-initiative, customer-focused, and proactive in approach to accomplishing ongoing tasks
Team-oriented with high degree of self-motivation and initiative
Able to multi-task in a high pressure work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills including the ability to coordinate, prioritize and manage multiple activities
Strong team player with a results oriented focus and a highly disciplined approach to meeting objectives
Flexibility to adapt and respond to changing needs and requirements
Should be able to follow instruction with minimum supervision
Ability to respond to off hour demands as needed
Education:
BS Degree in Computer Science, Technical training or equivalent industry related experience
Experience:
Two to Four years relevant experience providing Wide-Area Network and Application layer change management for a large corporation preferred.
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, VLANs and Frame Relay.
At least four years experience in end user support or customer service role
Knowledge of LAN’s, TCP/IP, AS 400, Tandem and client access a plus
Experience with AmDocs, CSG and/or Convergys billing systems a plus
Experience with Remedy a plus
Experience with Crystal Reports a plus
