Job Listing: Senior Analyst, Business Applications Analytics

• Analyze trends, evaluate Customer Service & Technical Operations Performance data, draw inferences, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Organize and interpret Customer Service & Technical Operations financial and statistical data.
• Provide analytical support for improvement initiatives in the Service Delivery Process.
• Create databases and spreadsheets for comparative analysis and operational reporting.
• Interface with counterparts in Marketing, Technical Operations, Business Services, Customer Services and Finance to gather operational data as necessary.
• Project manage multiple performance improvement initiatives from inception to execution and ultimately be responsible for the successful execution of projects, working with both cross functional technical and business project team resources from Technical Operations, IT, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Customer Service and Business Services.
• Coordinate and perform project assessments (Business Needs Assessment) to define project scope and deliverables and translate business needs into requirements.
• Develop and maintain project scope, project schedules that define activities, sequence, work effort, schedule and resources.
• Forecast, track and manage project budgets.
• Manage projects with in-house and/or virtual employees.
• Define, communicate and manage scope of the project.
• Implement and monitor quality standards (metrics) on all project deliverables.
• Manage project risks/issues.
• Ensure assigned projects meet Regional, Divisional and Corporate goals.
• Travel to field offices as required to gather information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Performance Improvement.

Required Skills

• College degree (Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Computer Sciences is preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Customer Service or Technical Operations
• Strong analytical and decision making skills.
• 2 - 4 years progressive business experience in database management and spreadsheet creation.
• Intermediate to advanced application/programming skills including SQL, ASP, DotNet, and Excel.
• Experience or knowledge of Consumer Billing Systems in particular CableData, CSG and ICOMs (Convergys).
• Experience working with large, complex data sets.
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Project, Business Intelligence Software and Knowledge Management Systems.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, juggle competing priorities, and proactively communicate changes to scheduled deliverables.
• Strong verbal and written business communication skills to collaborate with internal customers to understand requirements and interpret findings.
• Ability to engage and lead problem-solving exercises and support the execution of the specified solutions.
• Ability to work independently or in a team-centered environment
• Expertise in Project Management/Project Planning with demonstrated experience of its associated standard methodology, policies, procedures and guidelines of leading multiple cross-functional projects/initiatives through the project management life cycle (Define Requirement, Planning, Execution and Transition to Operations).
• PMP/PMI/TQM/Six Sigma certifications would be an asset.
• High integrity and honesty. State facts regarding project conditions and statuses.
• Handles pressure extremely well when given tight project schedules for deliverables.
• Travel requirements will vary by initiative; business needs will dictate. Field visibility will be a high priority.
• Understanding of cable business, desirable.
