Job Listing: Staff Accountant

·Responsible for all aspects of monthly close process for assigned operating systems within the Eastern Division.

·Responsibilities include preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, analysis of monthly operating results, review of financial schedules submitted by system (field) accountants, and special projects as requested.

MAJOR DUTIES:
·Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial information is presented to management at month-end.

·Prepare fluctuation analysis of monthly operating results.

·Update monthly account reconciliations in support of ending asset and liability balances. Compile, adjust and evaluate various accruals to ensure their accuracy.

·Prepare additional account analyses as requested by management.

·Undertake physical inventory observations and participate in System visits.

·Perform other duties as assigned.

· Maintain punctual, regular, and consistent attendance record.

Required Skills

·Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited school.
·CPA or progress towards it preferred.
·2 to 3 years experience in industry and/or public accounting or similar work environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
·Strong analytical skills.
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
·Experience with Oracle a plus.
