Job Listing: Data Transmissions Coordinator
Coordinate Data Transmission activities and the transmission of customer related files. Work closely with team members to meet daily requirements and resolve problems. Ability to modify files and assist with programming needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Interface and support end users and vendors surrounding the transmission of files, and assist in defining quality and user requirements.
Follow guidelines and procedures in performing daily functions of the Data Transmissions position. Consult with users to determine functional specifications; make changes as necessary.
Assist Team Lead with internal processes and documentation, and to improve/revise as necessary; modification of computer programs may be required; maintain changes in an online documentation database.
Ability in the analysis of file layouts and to make modifications as necessary.
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Receive support calls escalated within the Remedy system. Respond to trouble tickets and work with users to define and diagnose problems.
Online training of UNIX, via LMS.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing workload requirements.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by Application Support Manager.
Qualifications:
Communicate effectively, verbally and written, with Users, Team members, and Management.
Analytical and problem solving skills required for problem diagnosis and resolution.
A strong customer focus, with emphasis on customer satisfaction, paying attention to detail, and a systematic approach to meeting business objectives are required.
Organizational skills including the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple activities.
Ability to follow instruction with minimum supervision.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Required Skills
Education:
College Degree or the recognized equivalent industry related work experience.
A certificate in computer science or related field will be considered.
Experience:
2 years experience in a customer support, application support, or computer related field.
Basic understanding of networking.
Strong working knowledge of Windows 2000/XP and associated desktop applications, to include Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook is required.
Working knowledge in the use of data transmission methods.
Experience with FTP protocol and encryption software a plus.
Experience with distributed databases a plus.
Experience with AMDOCS billing application and financial billing systems a plus.
Experience with the Remedy ticket tracking system a plus.
