Job Listing: Software Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Software Design Engineer with strong C++ or C# programming skills. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with a client in the Dallas/Duncanville area.

As a software design engineer, the candidate is responsible for the design and development of Windows based application software utilized with client's postal automation solutions.
The candidate will engage in all phases of the software development cycle (requirements, design, implementation, test, and documentation) in accordance with standard software engineering methodologies.
Candidate must exhibit a strong work ethic, set a high standard for quality, and be effective both as an independent contributor and as part of a team.

Required Skills

Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills
General understanding of software development methodologies and processes
Strong C++/C# programming skills
Solid Object-Oriented design skills
Strong Unified Modeling Language skills
Able to work quickly, independently, and prioritize critical tasks
Strong communication skills - written and oral
Knowledge of Agile process and SCRUM methodology a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL a plus
