Job Listing: Software Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced Software Team Lead/Manager for a great DIRECT HIRE opportunity with a client in Dallas/Duncanville area.

As a software team lead, the candidate will report to the Engineering Director and is responsible for the day to day activities of a production software development team including but not limited to, tasking assignments, moderating design reviews, and upholding standard software engineering methodologies.
The candidate must understand system requirements, drive detailed functional requirements, and direct the testing of new product designs within an iterative development process. Candidate must exhibit a strong work ethic, set a high standard for quality, and be effective both as an independent contributor and as part of a team.



Required Skills

Have an Masters of Science or Bachelor's of Science in Software Engineering with 7+ years of software development experience with at least two years team management, or relative equivalent.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills
General understanding of software development methodologies and processes
Able to create and manage a project schedule a plus
Able to task and direct engineering resources to meet project commitments
Strong C++/C# programming skills
Solid Object-Oriented design skills
Strong Unified Modeling Language skills
Able to work quickly, independently, and prioritize critical tasks
Strong communication skills - written and oral
Knowledge of Agile process and SCRUM methodology a plus
