Job Listing: Quality Inspector (Telephone Cable, Copper/Fiber)

Volt Telecommunications Group is seeking a Quality Inspector experienced in outside plant copper/fiber splicing for the Westchester, New York area. The Quality Inspector, after receiving initial training, will have the knowledge of bonding, grounding, and safety practices. This is initially a short term assignment, but could lead to long term. Maximum salary of $25.00/hour includes starting salary of $17.00/hour plus $8.00 truck and tool allowance.

This is a 40 hour work week, Monday thru Friday. Work tours may be established to begin and end at anytime between 6:00a.m. and 6:00p.m.

Physical Job Activities: Medium to heavy, Standing 20%, Walking 15%, Sitting 5%, Climbing 0%, Lifting 5%, Bending 25%, Driving 10%, and Stooping 20%.

Required Skills

The Quality Inspector will be required to take a digital picture of each site and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products. The inspector will submit audit finding to the Quality coordinator.

Must have own vehicle, tools, computer, and digital camera. Must be a U.S. citizen, be able to speak and write English clearly, able to pass initial drug testing, background check and random drug testing. Must have valid driver license, auto insurance and clean driving record. Technicians are responsible for gas and upkeep of the vehicle maintaining valid vehicle insurance.
