Job Listing: Design Engineer

Our client, a manufacturer located near Jamestown, NY, is looking for a qualified Design Engineer to join its engineering team.

Candidates must have BS degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology. 3D CAD proficiency is required (Pro/E, Unigraphics, Catia). Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of experience, but entry level degreed candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities include:

-To develop designs in accordance with the customer specifications
-To formulate DVP & R&D FMEA’s to support the design intent.
-Support the design portion of the project by adhering to the departments NPI/TS processes and methods.
-Support the Project Engineers with effective plans on NPI (new product introduction) or LCM (life cycle management) projects.
-Support cost/design improvement projects to contribute to the engineering productivity plan.
-Effectively manage assigned projects based on cost and with an emphasis on meeting time line requirements.
-Coordinate the sending and receiving of data transfers between the customer and client.
