Job Listing: Environmental Scientist

A leading firm in the Quakertown area has an immediate need for an Environmental Scientist / Geologist.

This position will perform a wide range of duties related to environmental sampling and data analysis, reporting, testing, and operation of soil & groundwater remediation systems.

Responsibilities include:

*Planning and implementation of field activities (including site work, drilling, pilot testing, maintenance, etc.).

*Possible supervision of staff and/or subcontractors for drilling and well installation, but dependent on experience.

*Perform geological characterization of soil cores and soil sampling.

*Conduct general environmental sampling (low-flow groundwater sampling, air monitoring, etc.)

*Prepare technical reports related to scientific and operational aspects of field operations.

*Perform field chemical oxidation treatment (pilot and full-scale operations).

*System operation and maintenance and system optimization.

*Equipment troubleshooting capabilities and mechanical aptitude a plus.

*Dependent on experience, conceptual design and modeling of remediation systems.

*May include analytical and numerical model simulations and contaminant fate and transport evaluations.

*Remediation system construction oversight.

MUST HAVE Qualifications: PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING

*Applied experience in the implementation of in-situ chemical oxidation is a must and the use of groundwater flow and contaminant fate and transport models is a plus.

*Minimum requirements are a BS or MS degree in engineering, geology or a related technical field,

*Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience.

*Attention to detail and excellent writing/communication skills are a must.

*Hands-on attitude and mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Travel is required for this position.
