Job Listing: Cobol / UNIX Programmer Analyst

We have a growing health care client looking to hire numerous programmer analysts for a new upcoming project. These developers must have experience developing Cobol program on an UNIX platform. This can mean AcuCobol or Microfocus Cobol or Pro*Cobol or MacFarland or just Cobol on UNIX.

***ONLY CONSIDERING ILLINOIS LOCAL CANDIDATES***

We have a client that is implementing a new project and they need additional programmer analysts to its already established team.

Candidates will be talking with internal business users as they bring a new project up and running. They will performing full life cycle work from requirements gathering to development, testing and implementation. Our client is working with a sequential, hierarchal database similar to VSAM. Candidate will also be building Unix scripts.

****REQUIREMENTS*****

Candidates must have at least 3 years experience working with Cobol on a Unix (preferable Sun) platform. Preference will be given to candidates with an AcuCobol background but candidates with a Microfocus Cobol on a Unix platform may be acceptable as well.

Must have 3+ experience developing Unix scripts.

Client is located near expressways, restaurants and work out facility. This position will last 5-8 months and looking to begin in 3weeks-2 months.
