Job Listing: Configuration Engineer w/ Clearance

TEKsystems has an IMMEDIATE need for a configuration engineer that ALREADY has an Active DoD Clearance. This position is in Montgomery, AL and is with a reputable DoD integrator. We have a great team already in place but one of our technicians is moving onto another project. We can have you start on August 1st!

As you will see below, there are a lot of skills required, however, no one person has to be able to do them all. We are looking for someone that is skilled in either Unix, Cisco, Windows Servers, Firewalls, Networks, etc.

Below is the actual job description:

The configuration engineers will build 26 security suites (13 sites, each to receive a NIPRNET and a SIPRNET suite). Each suite is a Boundary Security System consisting of maybe 50 components (proxy firewalls, deep packet inspection servers, enterprise surveillance servers, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability risk management servers, anti-virus servers, DNS servers, email proxy server, load balancers, Network Time Protocol servers, Cisco 7206 router, Cisco 3750 switch) -- mostly Windows-based, a few Unix-based, a little bit of Cisco routing and switching. The Air Force has already documented how each item is to be configured (detailed scripts). Each suite will also have three racks of NetApps storage, but these will be configured by NetApp storage engineers, not our Config Team engineers. There will be perhaps a dozen Configuration Team engineers, so no-one has to be excellent at everything.

Our engineers should be sharp enough to understand what they are being shown, and be able to repeat the process after being shown. Also will help with inventory control and moving the boxes around the lab and placing them in the correct pile for each particular site.
