Job Listing: NOC Tech Tier 1 Support

Our client is a major leader the networking industry and is one of the leading suppliers of networking equipment and network management for the Internet.


Job responsibilities:

Remote troubleshooting
Problem resolution
Problem escalation


Candidates will be troubleshooting with external clients on a proactive basis letting clients know where problems occur within their network. They will inform clients as to what has been done to remedy the problem or where they have sent that particular escalation to.

Required experience:

Remote troubleshooting of routers and switches
Basic network fundamentals and principles (Ex. knowledge of OSI Model, Routing protocols, etc..)
Previous experience in a NOC or helpdesk environment


Pluses:

CCNA

Candidates will have working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, specifically how to Telnet into the routers and log in remotely to troubleshoot with external clients. Previous experience in a NOC or helpdesk environment is necessary for this position, as well as having the networking background. This operation is a 24 x 7 environment, so all candidates must be able to work all shifts.
