Job Listing: Electrical Engineer

Position Description:
- This position is responsible for providing the engineering necessary to customize building-specific elevator control systems.
- The successful candidate will take contract specific information provided by the Otis Sales Representative and translate it to create a design specification.
- The engineer then uses this information to design a building-specific elevator system starting with a base controller configuration utilizing Viewlogic’s schematic capture tools to create a custom wiring diagram.
- The engineer also creates specifications for the factory to customize the controller, sets software parameters for the specific configuration, and interfaces with the Otis Sales staff to insure the customer’s requirements are satisfied. Technology applied ranges from relay logic to microprocessor based control systems.
- This person will work in a dynamic team environment on individual assignments.
Experience/Qualifications
- 5 years of related work experience in systems integration, test equipment design, PLC programming, or similar engineering is required.
- Must have experience using MS Office products Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and be able to efficiently navigate through a computer system.
- Experience with electrical engineering CAD tools such as Viewlogic’s schematic capture is desirable.
- Hands-on experience installing equipment and/or troubleshooting is highly desirable.
Education
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
