Job Listing: Reimbursement Specialist

Aerotek's client in Bedford is looking for a Reimbursement Specialist to join their team. Our client is an innovative diabetes management company dedicated to providing superior treatment options and lifelong health benefits for people with diabetes. The Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for supporting the reimbursement processing and customer service functions. This position is directly involved in the communication and processing of claims (perform benefits investigation and answer all reimbursement related questions). Communication on customer status to the customer support and sales teams will be an important role of this position.Any interested Reimbursement Specialist should email Word version of resume to szaitchi@aerotek.com.

Responsibilities:
-A key part of the reimbursement process (software, customer contract implementation, information gathering, benefit verification and order processing).
-Manage and process reimbursement information from potential customers.
-May manage and track all stages of the reimbursement process:
-Obtain Letter of Medical Necessity
-Assignment of Benefits and Prescription
-Verifying Insurance eligibility
-Submitting order for shipment
-Obtain and verifiy all required information for billing
-Answer incoming calls (customers, payors, providers, sales) regarding orders, product information and insurance inquiries.
-Document all appropriate customer information accurately to ensure timely verification benefits and order processing/billing.
-Work in conjunction with Sales, Finance, Distribution to ensure cohesive, positive and efficient customer service.
-Deliver superior frontline customer service to the satisfaction of End Users and Health Care Professionals to ensure positive outcomes and impact on future sales
-Required to maintain high level of integrity and confidentiality / patient privacy (HIPAA). All information (written, verbal, electronic, etc) that an employee encounters while working in reimbursement environment is always confidential.

Requirements
-Ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical device reimbursement from a manufacturer or DME perspective.
-Minimum 3 years of reimbursement processing experience.
-Call center/customer service experience in the medical industry is required.
-Knowledge of managed care industry is required
-Knowledge of diabetes is preferred.
-Ability to identify and escalate issues requiring management support.
-Skill requirements include ability to independently problem solve; effective multi-tasking; strong verbal and writing communications; attention to detail; excellent computer and phone skills; time management - ability to prioritize; ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment; high level of energy, motivation and flexibility; accurate attention to details.
-Flexibility in a start-up environment to work outside of set job responsibilities (i.e. assist with Customer Training, marketing or other assignments as required).
-Experience dealing directly with people with diabetes is preferred.
