Job Listing: Water/Wastewater Engineer

Aerotek E&E is actively seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to work in the Middle Tennessee area.

The Project Engineer will generally work on one or more tasks associated with a defined project(s), will understand and demonstrate the ability to apply basic and intermediate technical principles and processes, and will be able to lead others in the completion of project tasks.

-Develop design criteria for water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure systems.
-Assist in the development of project cost estimates.
-Development of preliminary design layouts of minor facilities for owner and regulatory approval.
-Prepare under the direction of a senior engineer the detailed designs of process facilities including sizing equipment, selecting equipment, contacting vendors for pricing, writing specifications, establishing design criteria, coordinating with other disciplines, sketching and marking up design drawings.
-Lead or assist the presentation of project specific information to clients.
-Participate in technical/professional societies at committee member level.
-Participate in business development activities; assist others in client visits promoting services and capabilities.
-Develop and evaluate alternatives for water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure systems.
-Plan and perform onsite field tests, including bench, pilot, and full-scale tests, and collecting samples, completing chain-of-custody documentation, forwarding to laboratory for analysis, and preparing reports on findings. Prepare technical reports presenting the results and recommendations resulting from evaluations of water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure systems.

Applicant must have at least five plus years of experience in design of water and wastewater, distribution and collection and complex treatment facilities or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
