CONSTRUCTION SAFETY COODRINATOR Description:
Aerotek has a client who is looking for a Construction Safety Coordinator to join their team on a full time basis. Aerotek's client is a acreage sized company located in Duluth, Minnesota.

***QUALIFIED CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A BACHELORS DEGREE IN HEALTH & SAFETY DEGREE AS WELL AS AT LEAST 7+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A CONSTRUCTION ENVIRONMENT TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION***

CONSTRUCTION SAFETY COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Will coordinate the development and implementation of project specific health & safety programs for capital projects.

*Will establish processes and procedures, and implement project level H&S audits and inspections.

*Will provide safety leadership by identifying needs, development and coordinating safety awareness and recognition initiatives.

*Will do continuously monitors safety performance of multiple projects, assesses hazards, identifies trends and opportunities for improvement, and implements corrective actions.

*Will recruit, coach, mentor, train and develop field level direct reports

*Will foster an enlivenment that promotes open, proactive consultation with project team and contractors.

*Will monitor regulatory developments, evolving issues and industry best practices and proactively modifies program as appropriate.

CONSTRUCTION SAFETY COORDINATOR REQUIREMENTS:
*Must have a Bachelors Degree in Occupation health & Safety.

*Must have 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in occupational heath and safety in an industrial construction environment.

*Must have highly effective interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.

*Must demonstrate ability to be innovative, initiate and manage change & dev liver results.

*Must have excellent communication, negotiation & leadership skills.

*Ideal candidates will have experience with oil & gas.

*A registered safety professional designation is also a big plus.


OTHER:
MUST have good English skills.
MUST be eligible to work in the United States (this position does not provide sponsorship).
Local candidates will be given STRONG preference over candidates who require relocation.
