Job Listing: Open Source Java Developer

Our client, a global leader in financial services, is currently in need of an Open Source Java Developer to join their team in Richmond, VA immediately.

Candidates will serve as the primary contact for maintenance, development, and troubleshooting of various environments including Wiki/Chat and Openfire/Spark IM. Candidate will also be responsible for interaction with various vendors as necessary for further development and upgrading of applications.

Candidates must have knowledge of Web Design/Development as well as various Open Source frameworks, Spring and Hibernate

Required Technical Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of the Java language
- Strong understanding of inversion of control pattern and OOP.
- Experience with Spring Framework strongly preferred, experience with other IoC container acceptable
- Opensymphony XWork (or another command pattern web framework), Apache Velocity, Ajax (DWR)
- Hibernate
- Apache Maven
- Experience with RHEL or other Linux/Unix: ability to manage files, basic understanding of file system permissions, stop/start Tomcat, build tarballs for deployment to shared dev and staging.
- JUnit or other test framework
