Job Listing: Maintenance Systems Technician

Aerotek has a permanent position in the Rockford area who is looking for a Maintenance Systems Technician.

This company is very well established and is growing, so they need someone who can commit to a permanent role with a company and contribute to their long time goals.

The Maintenance Systems Technician will perform duties to maintain and improve production equipment capabilities. Provide OEM level expertise for CNC equipment and support maintenance department accountabilities in obtaining and maintaining TS 16949 certification.

Here are specific duties of the Maintenance Systems Technician:

-Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems, as required.
-Support new equipment installed in our plant.
-Retrofit/reprogram manufacturing equipment, as necessary, to make equipment run more efficiently.
-Assist Manufacturing Engineering in the design and specification of new equipment being purchased from outside vendors.
-Assist Manufacturing Engineering in documenting existing equipment, as necessary.
-Train maintenance department employees in troubleshooting techniques of CNC systems.
-Train maintenance department employees in the use of CNC hardware and software packages.
-Perform predictive and preventive maintenance activities to support TS 16949 certification.

This position does require:
-Bachelor's degree for any individuals with less than 8 years of experience.
-Need to be familiar with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
-Experience with reading electrical schematics and blue prints is a must
-Need to be familiar troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics
-Should be familiar working with PLC’s ( programming experience preferred)
