Our client is the leader in defined contribution plan management. There is an opening for a C#.Net Developer within their group in Austin. Development will initially focus on an internal content management system running Apache Jackrabbit, with multi-tier web-based and windows forms application using Microsoft .NET Architecture framework, utilizing C#, WCF, WF, LINQ, WPF, XAML, XML under the Spring. Framework. This is a contract opportunity with the opportunity to go permanent.
Position Description:
1. Responsible for design, analysis, coding, testing, trouble shooting, debugging, documentation and implementation of new development.
2. Work closely with the technology team, business team, testing team, and other technology teams within the company. and implement
system solutions that are consistent with strategic business and technical objectives.
Requirements:
Candidate will be responsible for developing applications using a variety of .NET technologies. The ideal candidate would have experience developing multi-tier applications with well-defined presentation, service, and domain tiers. The candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of software development practices and patterns that affect scalability, fault tolerance, availability, and performance. Candidate will be responsible for developing enterprise solutions, and mentoring technical resources. The candidate
should posses 5+ years of C# development experience and eight years of Object Oriented Analysis & Design experience, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and full life cycle development. The ideal candidate would have successfully implemented a project using one of the Agile development methodologies and must be comfortable with two week development iterations, test driven development and continuous integration. Ideal candidate will be able to discuss transactional semantics, concepts of domain driven design, and layered architecture.

Applicant should be self-driven, creative, and posses the ability to design and communicate innovative solutions using UML models and design patterns. Prior experience with financial services companies or content management systems is a plus.
