Job Listing: Software Director

A large Medical Device company who designs Class III Implantable Devices in Sunnyvale is looking for a Software Manager. This manager needs to be very hands on (50%) and solve problems with them team. They need to work onsite and participate in everything from developing to proposal writing, interfacing with the customer and managing people.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Management of diverse s/w development team.

- Software related system architecture.

- Understanding and guiding integration process of different platform software/firmware.

- Structured software development (s/w writing standards, processes of s/w design, version control system, s/w documenting standards).

- Experience in program management in medical field and familiarity with safety standards in medical field.

- Must possess knowledge of design and implementation of digital signal processing code.

- Must be familiar with programming in high and low level languages (C++ and assemblers)

- Must be decisive and be a team player.

Required Education and Experience:

- B.Sc. required, M.Sc. strongly preferred
- 7+ years of experience in software management/lead role
- Embedded coding experience
- Windows CE, GUI and user interface
- Medical Device or Biotech experience
