Job Listing: Technical Writer

Looking for two engineering minded and articulate technical writers. This established aerospace company provides a fast-paced environment full of growth potential.

Our client, who engineers fluid controls and etched products for the aerospace and defense markets, needs technical writers to facilitate and create their bid proposals. These candidates will report to the Sales & Marketing Coordinator as well as the Sr. Director of Product and Business Development, who represents the engineering team. As a result, these candidates must be technically minded, and able to effectively communicate and interact with both the Marketing and Engineering departments, including contracts, purchasing, quality assurance, manufacturing, etc.

Responsibilities:
Receives and processes customer RFP/RFQ inquiries.
(Emphasis on expanding proposal response time capabilities, reducing costs and increasing overall customer satisfaction.)
Processing price quotations and generating an appropriate technical, management, and cost proposal in conformance to customer specs.
Effectively communicate, proposals, and presentations.
Prioritize and manage multiple proposal related tasks simultaneously, typically 5-6 proposals.

Requirements:
1. Technical writing and editing abilities, with at least 3-4 writing samples including samples that demonstrate proposal writing ability.
2. Expert skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project), with the ability to quickly produce publication-quality proposal material
3. Minimum of a Bachelor's in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or Mechanical Engineering.
4. Five or more years experience writing for high technology products for government and commercial institutional customers

This position is paying from $60-70K/ year
This position is located in El Monte, CA
