Job Listing: Mechanical Project Engineer

A larger company in the Chicago Heights, IL area is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer to join their facility.

This Mechanical Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer will carry out mechanical engineering assignments of wide ranging type and complexity.

Major Job Duties:

- Perform an complete all final engineering functions for custom designed projects in accordance with NFPA Standards.
- Prepare production documentation including drawings, bills of materials and specifications as required.
- Organize, track and report on the status of assigned projects.
- Organize sales/engineering files to include copies of all relevant information related to the design of equipment and engineering production release prior to releasing files for archiving.
- Provide customer technical support as required.
- Perform any other duties of a business nature that are identified and communicated by a supervisor.

Major Job Qualifications:

- NICET Level II or III in Automatic Sprinkler Layout with 2 - 3 years of experience
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- PC literacy specifically with CAD, word processing and spreadsheet software
- Proficient in MS Office applications (2003 Excel, Word, Power Point), and MS Project
- Knowledge of SprinkCAD software application software
- Knowledge of Hass Hydraulic calculation software
- Ability to read Blue Prints
