Job Listing: .NET/ SQL Developer

Teksystems has a client in Louisville that is seeking a Programmer Analysts. This position is on the business side in the Senior Products Development Group. This group is responsible for building out the Medicare Plans that the company sells to eligible Medicare recipients. They work with very closely with the Medicare IT development team and there is a lot of cross functional development that takes place. Job responsibilities will be the following: candidate must have a good understanding of web based systems and how they integrate with other applications. 1-2 years experience developing in VB.net or C# is required. Must be well versed in SQL and be intermediate to advanced in performing the following: connecting SQL databases to other back end systems, writing advanced queries in SQL, XML integration with SQL 2005 and performing data analysis. The current application on the business side is on an Access front end with SQL 2005 back end. They will be migrating the current application to the .NET framework so any projects with application migration from client server to .NET platform is a major plus. Access is not required but if you don't have experience in Access then VB 6 will be a choice as well. THE CLIENT PREFERS LOCAL CANDIDATES.
