Job Listing: Account Manager-Environmental Laboratory

Premier Analytical Laboratory in the Sacramento area is currently hiring for a top performing Account Manager. This organization has been in business for almost 20 years and is dedicated to client service and the highest quality standards. Position is located in Sacramento, CA and relocation assistance may be considered.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction and in close cooperation with the field sales team and project management, the Account Manager position is responsible for growing the revenue base while maintaining profitability goals. They will support, maintain and enhance the revenue base from existing clients, as well as identify and qualify potential sources of revenue.

JOB FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:
1. Conduct business development through lead generation and qualification for a defined geographic territory
2. Frequent contact with existing customers to manage and up sell products; may travel periodically to visit assigned region on sales calls.
3. Timely and thorough follow-up on leads coming from various marketing programs
4. Manage multiple customers' sales cycles from initial introduction to purchase
6. Effectively use customer knowledge and competitive information to position products and determine pricing
7. Attend technical seminars and conferences

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 3-5 years of Account Manager or Customer Support experience (lead generation is acceptable)
2. Bachelor's of Science Degree or a related major preferred or equivalent experience
3. Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn about the environmental industry

COMPENSATION:
Base Pay (45-55k based on experience) plus commission
