Job Listing: SQL Database Administrator



TEKsystems is seeking a Database Administrator for a long term opportunity located in Orlando, Fl.

This person will be responsible for managing both SQL Server and Oracle databases, so experience working in a blended environment would be considered a plus.

On a day to day basis duties will include monitoring database server status and database backups on both SQL Server and Oracle. Also, this person will be working on user requests and operational tasks as well as documentation and problem resolution.

Candidates will be successful in this position if they can multi-task between projects and daily operational tasks. Possess good analytical and troubleshooting skills and can work individually and coordinate with a team.

We are targeting individuals with 2-4 years experience as DBA in SQL Server environment who has good knowledge and experience with Windows infrastructure. Also must be able to setup Windows 2005 servers including cluster setup and configuration. Candidates will also have good knowledge and experience on Active Directory, locking down Windows and SQL servers, server hardware, database backup and restore. Additional skills are as follows:
- Database migration and import/export.
- Experience in SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS/DTS) and SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS).
- Manage Windows and SQL Server user accounts.
- SQL Server disaster recovery techniques and procedures.
- Performance monitoring of Windows and SQL servers.
- Track and document server and database changes.

Any experience with Oracle 10g Administration, RedHat Linux Enterprise, AIX UNIX and Internet Information Server (IIS) would be considered extremely beneficial

    Salary and Benefits
