Job Listing: Maintenance Technician

A distinguished company in Elgin, Illinois is seeking a self motivated individual for a maintenance mechanic position now available on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

This is a maintenance mechanic position that supports daily plant operations and will perform the following on a daily basis:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair metal forming equipment and support equipment for basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems.
- Visually inspect and listens to machine and equipment to locate malfunctions.
- Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems
- Documentation of work orders and maintenance performed
- Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair
- Repair broken parts
- Ability to perform installation and fabrication of metal forming support equipment
- Ability to operate various hand, electric and pneumatic tools, including: Mills, shears, various saws and grinders, as well as other equipment when necessary.

Ideal candidate is someone with experience in PLC's and metal forming equipment.
