Job Listing: Specifications Writer

SPECIFICATIONS WRITER
Location: Houston, TX


HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years experience in an architectural office with at least 1 year working with specifications.

- Solid experience in all phases of construction document preparation and contract administration.

- Thorough knowledge of CSI Manual of Practice, AlA Handbook of Professional Practice, and construction industry standards.

- Strong language and writing skills.

- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database software; AUTOCAD skills helpful but not required.

- CSI Membership and CDT (Construction Document Technologist) are preferred with CCS as a goal.


PURPOSE:
Under direction of Specifications Manager, maintain company master specifications in keeping with standard industry practices with consistent updates and modifications as required maintaining company standards and practices.
