Job Listing: Unix Administrator (AIX/Linux)

Local client is looking for a Senior Unix Administrator with AIX/Linux background and experience.

Details:
--Responsible for implementation and support of Unix (AIX/Linux)based applications and database servers
--Performs all software installation and configuration for supported systems.
--Performs system capacity planning and provides regularly scheduled detailed reporting.
--Conducts performance monitoring and provides appropriate system
tuning to guarantee responsive system performance.
--Creates backup strategies to meet business data recovery needs and optimize system performance.
--Documents configuration and maintenance procedures for supported systems.
--Knowledge of the following technologies: Unix System Administration (AIX), Shell Scripting (Perl, KSH, SH, AWK, SED, etc), TCP/IP, SNA and
IPX,MQSeries, SNMP, NFS, NIS, RAID, and EMC. Manager prefers strong Redhat and AIX experience.

6-month contract with option for hire.
