Job Listing: HVAC Service Tech

There is an excellent opportunity to be a HVAC service technician with a company located in the Lehigh Valley, PA area. Candidate should have minimum 5-7 years relevant experience and/or training. This person is responsible for sheet metal fabrication/HVAC service in accordance with the installation of heating and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

-Plans and draws layout and dimensions of ductwork.

-Ability to plan work for self and others.

-Attends classes and seminars on air conditioning components and system design to update skills.

-Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

-Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

-Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

-Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

-Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

-Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

-Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

-Initiates or suggests plans to motivate other workers to achieve work goals.

-Maintains time and production records.

-Confers with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

-

Moderate travel is also necessary for this position. Also, candidates must be willing to work overtime and be on call for service at any time.
