Our Orlando-based client is seeking qualified coaters/thermal sprayers that can independently read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and equipment methods and sequences.
REQUIRED SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and pre-set all tools needed for stripping and coating operations performing safety checks on all equipment and acid tanks before using.
Load/unload parts into chemical tanks and monitor/maintain tanks during stripping process.
Mask parts externally and internally using designated methods.
Verify fixture setup meets acceptable quality standards regarding milling and boring sizes, depths, angles, or select specifications.
Install, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and part on machine.
Load control media, such as tape, card, or disk, in machine controller or enter commands to retrieve pre-programmed instructions from database discussing any errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
Calculate and set machine controls to position spindle in relationship to part and to regulate factors.
Stop machine to change tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
Operate equipment manually to perform non-automated functions, adjust controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance processes, and when automatic programming is faulty or equipment malfunctions.
Record and collect data and information needed for records.
Place hazardous waste in properly labeled containers for disposal.
Maintain hazardous waste containers closed unless adding or removing waste.
Notify EHS Manager when new materials are used so that a proper waste determination can be performed.
Properly clean and/or contain any spills, leaks, or overflows of hazardous materials.
Clean equipment, tooling, and parts and perform Preventative Maintenance as assigned.
Perform other such duties as may be required.
