New local Linux/ Smart phone design center opening in South Florida whose goal is to be the leading center for design in South Florida is seeking an embedded software engineer to aid in new developing projects

Description:
Seeking a hands-on embedded software developer to work on Linux Kernel porting and Linux board support package development for mobile communication devices.

Requirements:
Knowledge of embedded Linux Kernel version 2.6 Architecture.
Experience with Software Bring-up.
Responsible for porting the 2.6 Linux Kernel to various hardware platforms.
Linux Kernel memory management.
C/C++ programming
Experience developing embedded software for Board Support Package consisting of low level device drivers for USB, Displays, Keypads, Cameras, UART, I2C and other devices. Linux platform experience preferred.
Experience with NAND based File Systems and NAND flash drivers.
System Power and performance optimization.
Excellent real-time debugging skills.
Ability to work in a multi-discipline team.
