In this role, you will connect residences for Cable, High Speed Internet and Comcast Digital Voice in order to provide “hook-up” capabilities. Additionally, you will need to perform requested and “non-pay” disconnects.
•Must be able to work in a safe manner at all times.
•Be knowledgeable of Comcast products, services and pricing and be able to communicate to our customers.
•Duties will be performed adhering to Comcast procedures and safe work practices, National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) requirements and local ordinances. Including inspection of the existing ground or make new ground according to the NEC in order to protect employees, customers, and equipment from electrical shock or damage.
•Properly operate and maintain installation tools and equipment.
•Candidate will clean, maintain and stock vehicle and equipment in order to be prepared to perform required duties. Also, report any need for vehicle repair or service when required and/or prescribed.
•Complete associated paperwork with each work order in a timely manner.
•Report any accidents, losses, injuries or property damage to supervisor and customer when appropriate.
•Duties will be performed outdoors, with seasonal elements to contend with
•Perform other duties as requested by supervisor in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or recognized equivalent required.
•Must have the ability to use basic hand tools.
•Must be able perform assigned duties on high places (on poles and roofs), as well as in confined spaces, such as attics or crawl spaces.
•Must have basic mathematics skills.
•Personal computer knowledge necessary.
•Must have the ability to communicate clearly with customers.
•Need to be able to work independently.
•Strong skill in prioritizing and organizing needed.
•Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record over the past five years.
•The combined weight of a person's body and equipment must not exceed the standard 300-pound weight capacity designated to ladders and bucket trucks.
•Lifting/manipulating/carrying up to 85lbs is required.
•Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
•Ability to work overtime as needed.
