Job Listing: Software Design Engineer in Test and Software Testers

A large IT company in the Redmond area is looking for a Software Design Engineer in Test to do testing on storage drivers for a team that owns all of the driver level technology for a mainstream OS. They are a growing team looking for the best and brightest to drive quality for iSCSI storage.
This person will write and execute test cases, including roughly 75% automation testing and troubleshooting. In addition to quality testing for drivers you may also be required to add to the existing test suite using C/C++ and VBScript.
In this position, they are looking for a motivated individual contributor where some of your responsibilities include:
Working with Program Management and Developers and have first hand input to logo requirements for upcoming hardware and/or Windows features.
Creating test plan and designing test cases, taking full ownership for end-to-end logo test design.
Developing high-quality automated test tools/solutions for one or more technology area.
Packaging and delivering your tests as product contents into the Windows Logo Kit for Windows 7 release cycle.
Engaging with partners directly to debug and solve technical issues in a time-critical basis.

Required Skills
Software Design Engineer in Test and Software Test Engineer Requirements - Qualified candidates should be/have:
Positive and team-oriented attitude.
Solid problem solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication skills.
A minimum of 2 years of coding in C/C++.
Experience with controller and device level programming and/or testing.
A BA/BS in CS/CE/EE or a related discipline.
Additional preferred qualifications:
Experience with the Windows OS components and Win32 programming.
Experience with kernel debugging.
Experience with WTT automation framework.
