Volt Technical Resources is currently recruiting GIS Techs for an estimated 6-month contract in the Winter Haven, FL area. This position is with an S&P 500 company doing work in the Southeast US and abroad.
This role is ideal for GIS professionals with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data entry skills. The GIS Tech will be working on a project to help with cleaning up the data that has been migrated from old systems into a new GIS (G/Technology).
This is an estimated 6-month contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Winter Park, FL. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated companies in the South and Southeast.

Required Skills for the GIS Technician position include the following:

Applicants must have familiarity with GIS software.
It is preferred that they have experience with Intergraph’s G/Technology.
Experience with tools such as ArcInfo is also acceptable.
It is also highly desirable (but not absolutely required) that they have experience with the way electric utility systems are modeled within a GIS.
Other experience with electric utility mapping or drafting is also desirable.
