A growing and expanding firm in the Video Technology field is currently looking for a Quality Manager who is experienced in Product Development.
Primary Functions:
The Quality Manager:
Applies necessary technical resources to define technical direction for complex problems emerging within Our Client's product solutions.
Contributes well-structured and documented plans, along with analysis of work breakdown and schedules.
Contributes to market direction through the extension of technical feasibility and program level direction.
Collaborates with other Project Managers to resolve technical and managerial issues.
Contributes to institutionalization of disciplines, processes, and tools, while adhering to the Development Process.
Works to minimize frequency and impact of blocking conditions.
Works to assist in the evolution of derivatives for alternate markets and alternate configurations.
Leads and mentors through example, while maintaining a high level of integrity.
Additional duties may be assigned from time to time as needed. Professional expertise is required.
This is a Direct Hire position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Winter Park, FL. Required Skills for this Quality Manager position include the following:
Experience/skill with Direct Reports
BS/MS in Computer Science and/or Engineering
12+ years of mostly relevant experience
Highly developed technical skills needed
At least 10 years of industry-specific skills
Experience leading Technical Teams/Managing Teams of Engineers, Computer Scientists, and Research Personnel
Solid Management skills and a history of leading Technical Teams
Strong background in Product Development Lifecycles
Experience with Media Systems and Media Service delivery
Strong experience in Software Engineering involving Object-Oriented Programming and Design; C++ and/or Java experience preferred
Strong experience in Product Test and Statistical Analysis of test results
Good communication skills and the ability to take a stance on quality levels and product performance desired
Background in New Product Development and multi-disciplined Hardware/Software Design
Knowledge of Project Management techniques
Understanding of Interprocess Communication, particularly in a web environment
Familiarity with Web Services
Background in Design and/or Development using an Enterprise Service business
Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model
