Job Listing: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

The qualified incumbent will specialize in the design and development of sensor technology and product platforms related to pressure sensors, airflow sensors, force sensors, and gas sensors. A strong working knowledge of many different types of sensor technologies and previous experience with new product development is required.

Within this exciting development position, you will be a core member of a cross functional team and be involved in the full life design cycle from requirement definition through design, prototyping, proof of concept, packaging, testing and interface implementation.

Responsibilities include:

• Designs and develops all electronics used in amplified transducer products including silicon MEMS microstructure, oil filled media isolated and thick film technologies.

• Works effectively with internal and external sensor fabrications, simulation, integrated circuit (IC) design, PCB design and ASIC design resources to produce robust electrical design solutions.

• Creates analog, digital or mixed signal circuit designs.

• Creates electrical specifications for the new sensor designs.

• Collaborates with Cross-functional team to create validation test plans.

• Assigns work direction and mentoring to junior engineers.

• Interfaces with customers, sales, marketing, production and mechanical engineering staff.

• Produces documentation for customers, production staff and vendors.

• Ensures tasks are delivered on time; meet financial, performance, quality and reliability goals.

• Employs DFSS tools and methodology throughout the design process.



Required Skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum of 3 years of sensor design experience in new product development utilizing linearization and temperature compensation techniques.

• Proficiency in Lab view and/or C++/C#.

• Proficiency with laboratory test and measurement equipment, e.g. digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, and data acquisition systems


Additional Qualifications:

• MSEE or equivalent degree, preferred.

• Mixed signal circuit design experience, especially with ASIC's.

• Design for EMI/EMC experience helpful.

• Project Management certified (PMI), preferred.

• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
