Our client a large CRO is seeking a Clinical Data Manager I. The Clinical Data Manager I will be responsible for performing all clinical data management activities on assigned projects, commensurate with experience and / or project role. This includes data validation, raising and integrating queries, understanding of clinical coding concepts, review of electronic data and SAE reconciliation. This may also involve database initiation, set up and lock activities. Work to the appropriate standards of quality and efficiency.
Job Description
-Maintain a positive, results orientated work environment, building
partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to others in an open, balanced and objective manner
-Utilize current study documentation including protocols, Case Report Forms (CRFs), Data Validation Specifications, etc.
-Perform validation review and assigns appropriate action to discrepancies
-Generate queries based on validation specifications
-Track and integrate queries
-Perform clinical coding if appropriate to role within the project team
-Edit the database in compliance with departmental/project standards
-Participate and contribute in project team and departmental meetings
-Document and implement client and/or team decisions
-Perform project tasks in accordance with project timelines and to the required quality standards
-Utilize appropriate TIME codes as they relate to a particular task
-Maintain agreed utilization
-Inform Primary Clinical Data Manager of work status regularly
-Keep manager(s) informed about work progress and any issues to avoid surprises. Requires significant interaction / supervision by Manager or assigned mentor.
