Job Listing: Electrical/Instrumentation Estimator

Aerotek CE is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Estimator for a DIRECT HIRE for our client here in Houston, TX. Our client is currently Interviewing candidates at this time.

Overview:

An electrical and instrumentation estimator must have the capability to understand the work, the engineering scope definition, understand P&ID's, and must have detail estimating experience. He/she must know how to generate an estimate through final cost (all materials, fabrication, subcontracts, construction, localization and associated construction indirects) for electrical and instrumentation work. He/she must be capable to organize and plan his work.

Responsibilities:

- Perform electrical and instrumentation estimates for Lump Sum EPC oil and gas projects.
- Develop electrical / instrumentation estimates from drawings, sketches, or scope definition provided by engineering.
Estimates include all material, self perform fabrication, subcontract, and self perform construction (MH & Cost) for instrument and electrical work scope.

Qualifications:

2-5 years minimum experience required. A degree is preferred but not essential, Good computer skills are required - Microsoft Excel and Word at a minimum. Database experience is preferred. Must have the ability to work in cross-functional team environment. Experience on localization of costs to international locations is a plus.
