Job Listing: Sr. Microbiology Manager

Aerotek Scientific, a national leader is scientific staffing, is currently partnering with a premier food company in St. Joe, MO seeking qualified candidates for a Sr. Manager of Microbiology in R & D and Food Safety.

The Sr. Microbiology Manager will coordinate all functions of the microbiology lab and will have 4 direct reports. The main focus of this position will be 50% safety and 50% research. Responsibilities will include experimental design, analysis of microbiological samples, reporting of results, maintaining the tracking system, issuing Corrective Action Reports, ordering supplies, and HACCP Plan Validation Testing.

Microbiological analysis will include:
-E-Coli Testing
-Salmonella Testing
-Bsader Meat Iron and Calcium Testing Compliance
-Sanitation Testing-Pre-operational and operational
-Shelf Life Testing for finished product
-Rendering Material Testing
-Product Disposition Testing.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a meat slaughtering facility.

The incumbent must be able to understand how to execute in the present and be a visionary to proactively make processes more efficient in the future.

Job Requirements:
MS in Food Science or Microbiology with meat slaughter experience is required. Qualified candidates must have great communication skills and have prior supervisory or management experience.
