TEKsystems has partnered with a leading Government Integrator to help locate a scheduler for DoD, DHS and Civilian Agencies. This is a contract to hire position with a M-F shift.
Day to day Work
- Provide planning and scheduling support for various Civilian, Homeland Security, and Department of Defense programs:
-- Experienced with scheduling in an ANSI-748 B federal environment
-- Experienced with “resource loaded” schedules
- Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Integrated Master Plan (IMP) using federal Earned Value Management principles.
- Duties include project baseline change control, collection and tracking of CAM performance and performing critical path analysis.
- Participates in metrics analysis and reporting; including Earned Value contract performance reports and the IMS.
- Supports variance analysis, cost and schedule forecasting, and problem identification and resolution.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4-6 years of MS Project, Primavera or Open Plan experience. Open Plan experience highly desirable.
- Minimum 4-6 years of planning and integrated scheduling (IMS) experience.
- Ability to develop work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Proficiency with MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Minimum 4-6 years cost and schedule integration experience.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of an Integrated Product Team environment.
- Ability to interact effectively with Program and Project Managers as well as technical staff and proposal teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; Ability to coordinate multiple projects and shift priorities frequently.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Understanding of product development processes in a federal sector systems integration environment.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience with Deltek’s COBRA, CostPoint and wInsight products.
- Experience using the “forProject” tool for obtaining schedule status.
- Experience working within an ANSI-748 compliant Earned Value Management System framework.
