Job Listing: Electronic Research and Development Eng.

Tier one equipment supplier has an immediate opening for an Electronic Research and Development Engineer.

This is a direct hire opening and pay is based on experience.

Specific duties will include:

- Develop R&D plans and execute them for the development of custom electronics used is testers
- Interpret customer requirements for sensors and electronics and recommend/design solutions
- Interface with Test Equipment Design Engineers towards product and concept development
- Acquire, analyze and interpret product test data
- Review and support technical and pricing items with management.
- Troubleshoot problems found in the development, test or installation of our products as they relate to electronics and recommend solutions
- Investigate new concepts using electronic architectures, sensors and products
- Perform benchmarking
- Presentations to internal company employees as well as customers
- Proposal preparation and review as it relates to electronics


EDUCATION REQUIRED:

BSEE – Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering, MSEE preferred.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- 10-15 years of product development and/or R&D experience
- Circuit design, prototyping and debugging custom board electronics
- Must be independent problem solver and self motivated
- Experienced in use test instrumentation and methodologies
- Knowledge of engineering design approaches fundamentals, product problem solving, and experience in design and analysis development activities
- Mentor engineers with less experience
- Personal drive and demonstrated initiative
- Good verbal and written communication

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Powertrain experience with ECM design
- Test Station development
