Job Listing: Biologist - Research Associate

Our client is in search of a Biologist with the following attributes:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology or related field is required.

- Must have practical experience in the growth and propagation of bacteria as well as the extraction and purification of intact nucleic acids.

- Previous experience in the molecular and biochemical characterization of bacteria and handling of bacteria at a BSL 2 is a plus.

-Must have experience with aseptic technique, laboratory procedures and protocols.

- Attention to detail and ability to keep detailed records is essential.

- Must be able to work under minimal supervision and be familiar with Microsoft Access, Excel or similar computer programs.

- Requires strong written and oral communication skills.
